A Framework in Evolution
Looking back, this conversation connected a thread running through my 2026 talks.
At Chicago UX Camp, it appeared as leadership that turns chaos into clarity. At UX Days, it became the invisible decisions inside AI. At UXPA International, it became research as the bridge between technological possibility and human outcomes. At DDX, it took the form of one principle: judgment first.
On Re:Wire, the thread got a name for its cost. Deliberation Debt is what organizations pay when they decide faster than a question deserves. Every earlier talk asked what AI can do. This one asked what it costs when people stop asking.

The leaders who thrive will not be the ones who adopt AI first. They will be the ones who build teams that know when to trust it, when to slow down, and whose context it is missing.
